GIVE ME THAT OLD SCHOOL LOVE
Give me that old school love
When love songs had meaning
When love was love
When passion was alive
Give me that old school love
When going out didn't mean getting drunk
When the dance floor was fun
And the groove was pure
Give me that old school love
When men were gentlemen
When fathers held their home together
And being a man meant being a person of honour
Give me that old school love
When wives were wives
Women were full of character
And motherhood was a noble responsibility
Give me that old school love
When love was real whether you have money or not
When marriage was respected
And sponsors were not celebrated
Give me that old school love
When smart phones didn't distract us
And people sat at the family table
Looking at each other and not a phone screen
Give me that old school love
When people's words were their bond
When families were strong
And neighbors were a call a way
Give me that old school love
When sex wasn't the main agenda
Affairs were not easy to have
And people actually worked to keep love safe
Give me that old school love
When romance was genuine
Families would go for picnics on weekends
And God was revered
Give me that old school love
When conversations were rich
And small talk was unheard of
When home was stress free
Give me that old school love
No matter how much we advance in technology
The need for love in humans never dies
Love never runs out of fashion
