WHAT GOSSIPING AND RUMOR MONGERING CAN DO TO RELATIONSHIPS

WHAT GOSSIPING AND RUMOR MONGERING CAN DO TO RELATIONSHIPS

One of my friends had intentions of going after a certain lady, so he kept observing her for a while..., one day he told me that he was no longer interested in her because someone had seen her coming out of a man's place covered in a bathing towel and not only that there were rumors that she was always on a weekend drinking spree. me being me I decided to investigate which finally lead me to talking to the lady in question..., the house she was seen coming from is her brother's house and as for the drinking sprees she was a teetotal.

One man once told me that we have three personalities;
  1. Is what you know about yourself
  2. Is what others know about you..., you usually let them see this.
  3. What people know about you based on rumor and ill conceived truths.
I am not the kind to listen to another person about someone and believe it to be true. I make my own decisions about someone. It takes time to build one's character but it can only take a second to destroy a person.

CARELESS TALKS, GOSSIPING AND RUMOR MONGERING ARE FOR BORED PEOPLE WITH NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR LIVES.

I always ask the person who brings gossip if he/she will say the same in the presence of the person who is subject of discussion at that particular time.

One of the most venomous, hurtful, and dangerous activities you can engage in is also one of the most common. It’s called… gossip. Let’s say you share a juicy morsel about someone. Would you be ashamed to say it in their presence? If so, you OUGHT to STOP gossiping. Gossip is verbal poison. Gossip seeks to defame and discredit others. GOSSIP SHOULD NOT BE ENTERTAINED because;
  • It destroys reputations.
  • Makes the one gossiping look worse.
  • It can get you into Legal trouble.
  • The Bible teaches against it.
STOP GOSSIPING AND RUMOR MONGERING!!!
