Nairobi, KENYA: Three IEBC commissioners have resigned.

The three who include the vice chair Connie Maina, Margaret Mwachanya, and Paul Kurgat announced their resignation on Monday morning citing lack of confidence in the IEBC Chair WafulChebukati.

“For far too long and way too many times the commission chair has failed to be the steady and stable hand that steers the ship in difficult times and gives direction when needed.Instead under his leadership, the commission has become a venue for peddling money, misinformation And grounds for brewing mistrust and space for scrambling for and chasing individual worries,” Margaret Mwachaya said.

“Consequently we regret to announce our resignation from the commission with immediate effect,” Mwachaya added.

This comes just a week after three IEBC commissioners Prof Abdi Guliye,Wafula Chebukati and Boya Molu sent the IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba on compulsory leave.
