Meet Chef Lucy Mwangi, Junior Sous Chef at Marriott Hotel Al Forsan!
Chef Lucy is from the beautiful city of Nairobi, Kenya. With more than 12 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry, she brought her passion and dedication to Marriott Hotels! Her brilliant journey with Marriott Hotels began in 2011 when she joined the JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai as Demi Chef De Partie. During her time in JW Marriott Hotel, she was promoted to Chef de Partie. In 2019, after five years as Chef de Partie, Chef Lucy transferred to Marriott Hotel Al Forsan as Junior Sous Chef. Known for her contagious smile, willpower, high motivational skills, and enthusiasm, it comes as no surprise that after only seven months in Marriott Al Forsan, she has been recognized as Culinary Guest Voice Champion for three consecutive months. Moreover, she won the Best Brilliant Story for the Departure Experience category in June. Chef Lucy is a true ambassador of the Marriott’s TakeCare spirit as she takes care by recycling as much as possible. Her message to the world is: “If it does not make you better, it is not worth doing"
