Congratulations to team C4ME from the Tshwane University of Technology. They will be representing South Africa in Canada later on this year Siphamandla Mqcina and Philanjalo Ndlovu created C4Me, which is a device that will assist the visually impaired to find their way through campus and any building with a mapping system. The device will pinpoint the exact location of the user, their destination and issue voice instructions on how they can get to their destination as well as alert the user if there are any obstacles. Directions will be Issued based on sensor data. The device, upon the user's request, will also answer their phone calls, read messages and assist in reading money to facilitate transactions.

They have now entered a six-week development phase to further evolve their idea with the support of designated international mentors and a dedicated team. During this phase, Red Bull will also provide funding, international mentorship, networking opportunities, and well-equipped workspaces.
