How to Give Yourself a Full Body Makeover

If you want to look and feel better, there are steps you can take to overhaul your image. Exercise, diet, and skincare will make a big difference in your appearance and give you the image you desire.

You can manage a full body makeover in no time. Consistency is the key to a new you. Not only will you look great, but also you will feel great inside and out. A makeover will increase your confidence and allow others to view an outside appearance that matches the great you that wasn't visible before.

Step 1: Exercise regularly. Starting a consistent exercise regimen will tone up your body and create self-confidence. Consider getting a gym membership and/or a personal trainer. Make it a point to work out at least four times a week.

Step 2: Eat properly. Eating healthily will create an overall healthier you. Your skin, hair, and nails will even benefit from proper nutrients. Avoid processed foods at all costs. Caffeine and excessive alcohol should also be avoided. Cook meals at home instead of going out. It may even be a good idea to visit a nutritionist a couple of times to gain a better understanding of what your body needs. Remember eating properly doesn't mean you have to diet. Simply making healthier choices is all that is necessary.

Step 3: Care for your skin. Acknowledge any problems your skin may have. If it is dry, invest in a good moisturizer. Oily skin can greatly benefit from facial masks targeting oily skin as well as pH-balancing serums. This will level the oils in your skin. Troublesome acne can be treated with over-the-counter medications, although if these aren't working, consider visiting a dermatologist to recommend a treatment plan for your specific skin.

Step 4: Focus on your nails. Fingernails and toenails can change a look dramatically. Having well-kept nails sends an image of cleanliness and that you care about yourself. Maintain your nails with a manicure and pedicure every 2 to 3 weeks.

Step 5: Eliminate body hair. There are many methods of hair removal such as shaving and waxing. The results of waxing can last up to four weeks. This will make it much easier for you to maintain a groomed appearance. In addition, maintain the shape of your eyebrows; pluck away stray hairs, and keep a natural shape.

Step 6: Get your hair done. A new cut may be just what you need, whether it be a new length or layers to add volume. You can also consider color to brighten your skin's complexion. It's best to choose a color close to your natural hair color. This will make you look more vibrant while still looking natural.

Step 7: Wear proper makeup. Remember less is more! You don't need a lot of makeup to create a wonderful complexion. Also, makeup shouldn't take up too much time to apply. A couple of minutes is all that's needed. Focus on accentuating your good aspects. Wear face makeup and/or concealer to even your skin tone and cover up pimples or dark circles beneath the eyes. Use mascara to accentuate your lashes. If you have high cheekbones, wear blush. Full lips should always have color.

Step 8: Attain a proper wardrobe without overspending. Choosing plain-colored items enables you to mix-and-match, providing more outfit opportunities. Buy things that you are comfortable wearing. A good pair of jeans is a must-have. With heels or boots, you can look glamorous, or you can play it casual with flats or sandals. Also, fitted clothing that isn't too tight or loose complements a figure more than anything else.
