Flawless skin is every girl’s dream. However, we often think it costs so much to achieve this. Mother Nature has been very kind to us by giving us natural ways to have the glow we crave so much without breaking the bank.

These are affordable and easily accessible food choices we can add to our diet to have great-looking skin.

1) Carrots:

Carrots are high in beta-carotene, an antioxidant that the body converts to Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps to repair damaged skin tissue and protects the skin against sun rays.

2) Eggs:

Eggs are great for your skin, especially the yolk which is rich in selenium, zinc, protein and other vitamins which help to achieve clear-looking skin.

3) Garlic:

Garlic is a natural antibiotic that helps to fight off the bacteria and viruses that cause skin infections such as acne. It is best eaten raw but due to its tendency to linger on your breath, it is advisable to chop them up and sprinkle some on your salad or other meals.

4) Avocado:

This is a great source of Vitamin E which helps to leave the skin moisturized and gives it a luminous finish.

5) Tomatoes:

Tomatoes are rich in Lycopene, the same element that makes them red. They are effective in protecting the skin from sunburns, due to exposure to harsh sun rays.

6) Fish:

Fish that are rich in Omega 3 such as Tuna and Sardines help to keep the skin looking young and radiant and also protect the skin against skin cancer.

7) Water:

Ok so this is technically not a type of “food”, but it is an essential part of achieving and maintaining great skin. It is a great antitoxin that helps to flush out toxins from the body and makes the skin clearer and firmer.

There you have it! So you want great skin? …then make these food items a constant part of your daily diet.
