Academic Requirements

Graduate Recruitment Programme

We know that grades are not the be-all and end-all; we are just as interested in your creative thinking and how you tackle a challenge. However, due to the high volume of applications, we have set minimum entry requirements for candidates to be shortlisted. 

Kenya

  • Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) overall grade of B plain, with a B plain in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of Second Upper Division or equivalent.

Interview Process: What to expect

Stage 1: Online aptitude tests

We trust that by this stage, you meet our minimum entry requirements as indicated on the advertisements. Next comes our online numeracy and critical reasoning tests.

Stage 2: Group assessments

At this stage, you will get to interact with your fellow applicants as you go through a series of behavioral assessments together.

Stage 3: Manager interviews

Successful candidates from the Group Assessments stage will be invited to a one-on-one competency-based interview with Managers from their preferred departments.

Stage 4: Partner interviews

This is where you get to meet the Deloitte Leadership and show them what you are made of as they make the hiring decision. You will also get to have a feel of the environment you will work in.

About the Departments

Audit

Deloitte’s Audit service offering utilizes a comprehensive methodology designed to bring our extensive professional and technical resources to audit engagements in an efficient, and cost-effective manner. In our audit process, we combine a rigorous risk and needs analysis, diagnostic processes, and a client service assessment structured to provide our clients with a superior audit clearly focused on them.

Financial Institution Services Team (FIST)

The Financial Institution Services Team (FIST) under Audit provides a complete range of audit, actuarial and specialist advisory services to leading organisations in the banking, insurance, securities and funds industries.

Tax

The Tax & Legal team is a multi-disciplinary practice of professionals specializing in various tax & business service offerings. We offer a broad range of fully integrated tax, tailored signature solutions and insights designed to meet business needs. In line with the Tax & Legal global common storefront, our services add value to clients via three broad “impact areas”, that is, function strategy, technology & process, outsourced & managed services and advisory.

Risk Advisory

The Risk Advisory Function integrates powerful and practical solutions in cyber security, strategy, regulation and controls, backed by deep business knowledge across multi-disciplinary teams, to help our clients take the opportunity to connect trust, resilience and security for a more positive outcome.

Financial Advisory

Our Financial Advisory practice advises clients ranging from SMEs to large multinational companies, banks, private equity investors, public corporations on protecting, enhancing and realizing value. The Financial Advisory team specializes in taking facts and figures and adding insight and expertise to maximise value and impact for our clients. Main purpose of the job

Deloitte in Kenya currently has an exciting opportunity for dynamic individuals to join our Audit, Tax, Risk Advisory and Financial Advisory teams as Associates/Business Analysts under our 2025 Annual Graduate Recruitment Program.

In this role, you will be supporting high performing teams to make an impact that matters to deliver exceptional client service.

What you will do

  • Learning and applying Deloitte standards, procedures and methodologies on assignments;
  • Ensuring assigned work is completed within agreed time frames and carried out per approved methodologies and standards and within agreed budgets;
  • Ensuring availability of accurate and timely data on assigned tasks as required including using available knowledge sources optimally;
  • Keeping abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, in order to anticipate client needs, and offer value added and practical business solutions;
  • Raising issues identified that may affect the quality of data and delivery or timelines of the engagement with the manager;
  • Developing productive working relationships with client staff;
  • Managing information security risk while executing client engagements in alignment with Deloitte policies; and
  • Maintaining own development and knowledge in specialized area.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of Second Upper Division or equivalent.
  • Graduated in the preceding three years (2023/2024/2025). A letter of completion must be attached where the degree certificate has not been issued yet.
  • Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) overall grade of B plain, with a B plain in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
  • Qualification or pursuing qualification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is desired, but not a requirement for the Audit and Tax roles.
  • Be a Kenyan citizen or have authority to work in Kenya.

3. Am I required to live in the country in which I am applying, or can I work remotely?

While we have a hybrid working model which entails both office/client based and remote based working, it is expected that there will be a high level of physical interactions therefore requiring physical presence within the recruiting country offices. In addition, applicants must have authorization to work in the country they are applying to.

4. When will I be notified of my application status?

We have several stages in the selection process and feedback will be shared accordingly at the various stages depending on the progress. Candidates who are not successful at any interview stage will be notified in due course.

5. What service lines/departments are recruiting? Can I apply to more than one service line/department?

Our Audit, Financial Institution Services Team (Actuarial), Tax, Financial Advisory, Risk Advisory and Consulting Departments are hiring.
