in teachers’ salaries by adjusting them upwards.
The highest-paid teacher is now the Chief Principal in job
group/grade D5 whose monthly salary is Ksh 157,656.
Senior Principals in Grade D4 earn a monthly salary of Ksh
121,890 and Principals in D3 earn a monthly salary of ksh104,644.
similarly, Deputy Principals II T-Scale 12 (D2)
now earn a monthly salary of KSh 91,041 as their
counterparts, Deputy Principals III T-Scale 11 (D1), earn
a monthly salary of between KSh77,840 and kSh85,269.
Teachers in job group /grade C4 (senior master IV) earn a
monthly pay of Ksh 52,308.
On top of that, they are entitled to;
- a
monthly commuter allowance of up to Ksh 8,000,
- an
Annual leave allowance of up to Ksh 6000, and
- a
monthly house allowance of up to Ksh 28,000.
