Opening an Inspira Account

Applicants must have an account in Inspira, the United Nations’ talent management platform, to apply for job openings. Creating an account in Inspira is easy.

  1. Go to Inspira and click Create account.
  1. Enter the given and family name, password, primary e-mail and date of birth. Once the account is created, the date of birth cannot be changed.
  2. Click Register. The system will automatically create a User ID. It will be e-mailed to the applicant, but it is advisable to write it down for ease of reference.

The application process consists of the following steps. Applications should be saved at each step of the process so that the information can be retrieved later.

Now that you have created an Inspira account it's time to update your profile information.

  1. For the first login, you should update your profile by clicking My Profile at the top of the Inspira home page. Please note that the mandatory My Profile fields must be completed before submitting any application.
  2. In the Personal Details of the My Profile page, make sure that your contact information including telephone number, e-mail address, and physical address are all current. Recruiters and hiring managers may try to reach you via phone and e-mail.
  3. In Nationality & Residence, a copy of the personal details page of your passport containing the photo and biographical data should be uploaded. If a passport is not readily available, you may provide another travel document or photo ID.
