detail-oriented Finance Interns to join our dynamic finance
team.
Role Overview
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on
experience in a healthcare finance setting. You will support day-to-day finance
operations and play an active role in ensuring the timely collection of
hospital receivables, helping to manage patient accounts, insurance follow-ups,
and billing reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Support
- Assist
in processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Support
monthly reconciliation of accounts and financial reporting.
- Maintain
accurate documentation and filing of finance records.
- Assist
in preparing reports for internal audits and compliance checks.
2. Credit Control
- Monitor
outstanding patient and insurance accounts.
- Follow
up on unpaid bills via email, phone calls, or in-person visits.
- Assist
in reconciling patient statements and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Help
in coordinating with insurance providers for claim approvals and payments.
- Update
and maintain accurate records of account statuses and communication logs.
- Support
the implementation of credit policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently
pursuing (completed coursework) or recently completed a degree in Finance,
Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong
attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good
interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability
to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Proficient
in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with hospital billing systems is
a plus.
- A
proactive attitude, with the ability to multitask and work under minimal
supervision.
