Job Opening: Senior Investment & Accounting Supervisor

Reports To: General Manager / Finance Director / Investment Head / Finance Manager
Availability: Immediately
Languages: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
Experience: Minimum 8 years in investment analysis, financial management, or accounting

Job Purpose

To lead strategic investment planning and oversee the financial operations of Nairobi GTC Industry Limited across real estate, leasing, and hospitality segments. The role bridges local financial execution with China-based stakeholders and ensures compliance, performance tracking, and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Investment Strategy & Portfolio Oversight

Supervise day-to-day financial operations, especially in the hotel division
Develop and implement annual financial budgets aligned with business growth targets
Draft and enforce financial policies and internal controls to reduce risk exposure
Review and track financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for accuracy and impact
Oversee capital operations, including loan management, interest accrual, and banking relationships

2. Financial Planning & Reporting

Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports and forecasts
Support investment feasibility studies, ROI evaluations, and due diligence
Ensure timely regulatory submissions (KRA, audit, etc.)
Align financial performance and investment KPIs with strategic business plans

3. Cross-Border Communication & Coordination

Produce bilingual reports for senior management in Kenya and China
Translate and adapt investment documentation to HQ reporting standards
Act as a liaison between Kenya finance teams and China headquarters

4. Risk Management & Internal Controls

Conduct internal audits and implement mitigation strategies
Track and report financial risks in projects (e.g., construction delays, cost overruns)
Ensure full compliance with financial and tax laws

4. Cross-Department Collaboration

Partner with sales, operations,Contribute to company-wide budgeting and investment forums

5. System Implementation & Process Optimization

Manage ERP systems (e.g., SAP), financial software, and dashboards
Recommend and implement process improvements for financial accuracy and efficiency
Monitor system usage and data integrity across departments

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of investment forecasts and ROI performance
On-time delivery of financial reports to both local and HQ stakeholders
Budget variance control
Departmental alignment with investment initiatives
Compliance with audit and tax deadlines
Team development and training contributions

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred
At least 8 years of experience in investment analysis, accounting, or financial management
Prior work in real estate, leasing, or hospitality is highly advantageous
Proficient in Chinese (Mandarin) and English
Strong command of Excel, Power BI, and ERP software (SAP, Kingdee)
Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to lead financial teams with confidence
