Procurement Intern - Nairobi, Kenya - Procurement & Purchasing
The Procurement Intern will hold a key role in supporting
the procurement department’s day-to-day functions. The intern will gain
practical experience by helping to source products and services, assisting with
supplier & vendor relationships management, and ensuring accurate
record-keeping. The role involves working closely with different departments to
meet their procurement needs while developing skills in market research,
problem-solving, and data management. This internship offers a valuable opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
- Support
routine sourcing and purchasing based on price, quality, and delivery lead
times.
- Aid in
preparing purchase orders and tracking order deliveries.
- Conduct
market research to identify potential suppliers, distributors, and product
market trends.
- Maintain
accurate records of procurement activities, including product catalogs,
price lists, and invoices.
- Collaborate
with internal departments to understand procurement expectations and
requirements.
- Assist
in resolving issues with inbound orders, such as delays, discrepancies,
and other vendor concerns.
- Support
vendor & supplier relationship management.
- Monitor
and update procurement databases and systems as assigned.
- Assist
in preparing procurement reports and analyses.

- Bachelors
degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration,
or a related field.
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
