at the core of our energy infrastructure, coordinating installations,
supervising field operations, and ensuring that every electrical system is
delivered with excellence.
From transformers and control systems to commissioning and safety enforcement,
your work will keep the 35MW Menengai Geothermal Power Plant running reliably

Key responsibilities
Operational Management
- Perform
field acceptance tests and inspect installation of equipment and systems
for conformance with specifications.
- Supervise
installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Guide
field electrical teams; coordinate with technical department to ensure
systems meet standards.
- Direct
equipment assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of turbine
generator, transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems.
- Coordinate
construction, installation, and commissioning of water and sewer
distribution lines.
- Prepare
complex project reports and maintain detailed records.
- Estimate
costs for major repairs and alterations.
- Enforce
safety regulations and foster a culture of workplace safety.
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.
Planning
- Prepare next day work plan.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare
daily reports, observations, and non-conformance reports.
- Prepare inspection reports.
HSEQ
- Follow HSEQ procedures at all times.
Compliance
- Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and all relevant laws and regulations.
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Qualification:
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Work
Experience: At least 10 years
IT Skills:
Proficiency in Excel and WordFamiliarity with design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, BIM, etc.
Language: Fluent in spoken and written English and Swahili
Key Competencies and Skills
- Thorough
knowledge of LV/MV/HV systems, power plant and substation equipment, and
component interrelations.
- Knowledge
of methods, software, materials, and tools used in electrical system
design, construction, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability
to read and interpret complex layout and 3D drawings, schematics, and
SLDs, including understanding relationships between mechanical and
electrical systems.
- Strong
knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil works and how they
interconnect.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct a variety of electrical work projects.
