Information Analyst
Job Purpose
- This
position is responsible for examining and making sense of sales and market
data, creating reports, and offering insights based on the research or
data analysis. The role holder will assist KWAL in comprehending its
sales, distribution, as well as competitor and customer behaviours,
enabling informed commercial decisions that benefit the business. This
position will closely collaborate with the sales and brand marketing
teams.
Main Responsibilities
Data and Insights
- Collect
data from various internal and external sources to ensure a comprehensive
data set for analysis.
- Process
and clean the data to remove any inconsistencies or errors, ensuring
high-quality data for analysis.
- Combine
data from different sources and systems to create a unified view of the
information.
- Use
statistical and analytical methods to explore the data and identify
patterns, trends, and relationships.
- Translate
data analysis results into actionable insights that can inform business
decisions.
- Create
excel or BI based visualisations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards to
represent data insights clearly and effectively.
- Develop
and deliver reports that summarise insights for stakeholders.
- Present
insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, highlighting the
implications for the business.
Reporting
- Design
and create reports that meet the needs of various stakeholders, ensuring
they are clear, concise, and informative.
- Gather
and compile data from multiple sources to be used in reports.
- Implement
automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual
effort.
- Develop
standardised report templates to ensure consistency in reporting.
Commercial Function Support
- Analyse
sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct
market research to understand customer needs, market conditions, and
competitive landscape.
- Support
pricing strategies by providing analysis on pricing trends, compliance and
elasticity.
- Generate
insights into customer behaviour and preferences to inform commercial
strategies.
- Analyse
product performance to support product development and lifecycle
management.
- Analyse
the performance of different sales channels and provide recommendations
for optimization.
- Work
closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to provide data support
and insights.
- Contribute
to strategic planning by providing analytical support and insights.
- Identify
and analyse potential risks to the commercial function and recommend
mitigation strategies.

- Support
the TPM way of working.
- Support
the implementation of the improvement activities
Minimum Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in a business-related field, Data Science or Maths and Statistics.

Experience
- At
least three (3) years’ experience in business analytics within FMCG or a
Marketing Agency with focus on consumer products environment.

- Proficiency
in the use of data management tools such as Python to process data.
- Able
to apply advanced statistics for data modelling with proficiency in
handling big data
- Understanding
of finance building blocks with focus on cash cycle & P&L
- Proficiency
in use of data visualization (Tableau, Power BI etc.) and synthesizing
informatics.
- Ability
to analyse complex data extracting and translating insights into
actionable decision points.
