Your role:
Reports to: Senior Logistics Associate
The role holder will assist in warehouse operations by
supporting inventory tracking, stock arrangement, and timely dispatch of goods.
The intern will help maintain cleanliness of the warehouse, perform basic
quality checks, and ensure accurate documentation. They will work closely with
the team to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. This internship
offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the logistics process within a
dynamic team, making it an ideal starting point for a career in supply chain
management.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse management:
- Ensure
products are accurately sorted, packed and dispatched to the respective
delivery trucks
- Implement
warehouse arrangement plans; ensuring stock items are clearly labeled to
avoid mix-ups and facilitate easy counting of inventory
- Liaise
with the Warehouse Clerk to achieve and sustain top conditions of the
warehouse infrastructure
- Track
all the physical movements of inventory to optimize handling and delivery
lead times to customers
- Monitor
product expirations and ensure proper storage.
- Physical
documentation to accompany every stock movement
- Ensure
proper arrangement of SKUs
- Perform
quality checks on inbound and outbound products
- Providing
feedback/escalating systemic concerns to operations and tech teams
- Navigating
through ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting
ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments
- Inventory
record-keeping:
Inventory record-keeping:
- Ensure
all warehouse receipts, issuances and returns have been correctly and
timely recorded, and point out transactions that have issues for quick
action
- Utilize
inFlow, our Warehouse Management software, to manage inventory and
generate all inventory-related reports.
- Periodically
count and report on the physical inventory vs system inventory counts as
per schedule
- Close
the gaps leading to inventory variances between the warehouse and tracker
numbers to ascertain whether the issue can be traced back to the physical
or system count
- Run a
stock movement record that will track the floor stocks, enabling us to
pick out the SKUs that require instant spot checks
The profile we’re likely to hire:
- Bachelors
degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or
a related field.
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability
to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention
to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
