Senior Policy Advisor, Finance for Development

Overview
The Policy Advisor, Financing for Development, will
lead policy analysis and development to advance World Vision’s Investment in
Children agenda. This includes examining how children’s needs and rights can be
met through various forms of development financing such as reforms to the
global financing architecture, restructuring of Official Development Assistance
(ODA), debt relief, taxation, and private capital mobilization. The position
will lead global child-focused policy engagement across all areas of development
financing in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and World
Vision’s Advocacy and External Engagement (A&EE) Roadmap. This work will
inform A&EE advocacy priorities for the Global Campaign and the 2030
Agenda, as well as support Support Office (SO) objectives related to ODA.
Additionally, it will connect and elevate Regional and Field Office (RO/FO)
priorities on domestic resource mobilization and public financing in global
policy discussions.
Risk & Compliance Officer
Job Description:
The position provides oversight for Risk and Compliance in
East Africa Region therefore enabling achievement of program and strategic
objectives for the regional and Field Offices. The Regional Risk and Compliance
officer will promote a culture of integrated, effective and ethical risk and
compliance management within EAR programs. The Officer will be expected to
understand and evaluate World Vision’s unique organizational environment and
apply a deep understanding of technical principles to support an effective risk
and compliance program within EAR. The position will identify operational and
strategic risks, coordinate risk assessments, facilitate the application of the
risk appetite, coordinate the strategic planning and development of risk
mitigation and will ensure escalation of risks to relevant stakeholders. The
officer shall utilize the Compliance Tools, Ethics Point (Integrate Incident
Management system), Riskonnect (Risk Management system) and other systems and
tools. The position holder will lead capacity-building initiatives for EAR in
the area of risk, compliance, incident and partnership management. The position
will work closely with the Field Office – Risk Primes, Compliance Champions,
the EARO Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other stakeholders on all risk,
compliance and partnering issues ensuring that EAR field office’s risk,
compliance, incident and partnership approach is well coordinated and in
congruence with internal policies, external regulations and donor requirements.
The holder will steer conversations on risk management and advice senior
leadership team on high risks for prompt action.
Roving Reporter – Emergency Communications Specialist
Job Purpose
The multi-media specialist holding this position deploys
into sudden/high-profile emergencies and breaking news contexts to deliver
video, image and text content to boost WV’s global profile. The position
is primarily based in or with access to the Middle East / Europe/
Africa regions. The role will also profile invisible emergencies, and
gather content for key moments, campaigns and other high-impact public
engagement events. The position involves multi-media content collection,
serving as global spokesperson, pitching, engaging and hosting media, and VIPs.
The job entails up to 50% travel, working in high-stress, and potentially
hazardous environments, including conflict areas. Non-deployment time will
focus on developing media relationships; pitching story ideas and content;
building communications and spokespersons capacity; and remotely supporting
high-profile and declared emergencies. This is a high-visibility role that has
significant positioning, risk management and leadership and field engagement
responsibility.
Senior Manager, Impact Communications
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Global Director, Corporate Communications,
this senior manager oversees a team working to raise World Vision’s brand—via
media relations, on digital channels, and at key events—as an industry leader
whose best-practice and life-changing programming brings about life in all its
fullness for vulnerable children in the most challenging contexts.
The senior manager has a dual role: to themselves promote
World Vision’s field impact, policy calls and technical expertise across our
core sectors and key ministries to key grant donors, policy-makers and other
institutional audiences; while also ensuring team members are doing the same.
Collating and monitoring all metrics related to the work of their team the
Senior Manager will also ensure the team’s goals and objectives are dovetailed
into and in support of priority Global Centre and Partnership strategies.
