1. Assistant Director, Finance and Accounts
Grade: Kenya-AIST 5 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/1/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Assistant Director, Finance and Accounts will be
responsible for overseeing the financial management of the institution. This
includes managing budgeting processes, preparing financial statements, ensuring
compliance with financial regulations, and offering strategic advice on
financial planning. The successful candidate will also be expected to
coordinate the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, manage
audit processes, and advise management on cost control strategies and fiscal sustainability.
2. Senior Administration Officer I
Grade: Kenya-AIST 6 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/2/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Senior Administration Officer I will manage key
administrative operations and ensure efficient delivery of support services.
Duties will include coordinating office administration tasks, supervising
administrative staff, managing institutional logistics and procurement
processes, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
The officer will also play a key role in human resource support functions.
3. Senior Administration Officer II
Grade: Kenya-AIST 7 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/3/2025 | No. of Posts: 1This role supports senior administrative functions and
facilitates day-to-day office operations. The officer will assist in planning
and coordinating administrative services, handling correspondence, managing
official records, and overseeing departmental logistics. The position requires
a proactive individual with a high degree of organizational skills and
confidentiality.
4. Administration Officer I
Grade: Kenya-AIST 8 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/4/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Administration Officer I will be tasked with
implementing administrative processes and providing logistical support.
Responsibilities will include record keeping, coordinating institutional
events, managing office supplies and assets, and supporting the general
operations of the administration department.
5. Administration Officer II
Grade: Kenya-AIST 9 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/5/2025 | No. of Posts: 1Reporting to the Senior Administration Officer, the
Administration Officer II will provide basic administrative and clerical
support. Tasks will include document filing, managing routine correspondences,
assisting with scheduling meetings and events, and offering general office
support to ensure smooth operations.
6. Senior Librarian II
Grade: Kenya-AIST 7 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/6/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Senior Librarian II will be responsible for managing
library services and resources. This includes cataloguing, acquisition of
scholarly materials, facilitating digital access to resources, and supporting
researchers and students with information services. The role also involves
developing policies for knowledge resource management and ensuring the
integration of modern library technologies.
7. Librarian I
Grade: Kenya-AIST 8 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/7/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Librarian I will support the academic community by
maintaining and providing access to library resources, assisting users with
research, developing library collections, and managing circulation services.
The position requires strong information management skills and knowledge of
digital library systems.
8. Senior ICT Officer II
Grade: Kenya-AIST 7 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/8/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Senior ICT Officer II will oversee ICT systems, network
infrastructure, and digital services. The officer will be in charge of
developing and maintaining ICT policies, managing software and hardware assets,
ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and supporting users across the institution.
The officer will also lead initiatives to enhance digital transformation within
Kenya-AIST.
9. ICT Officer I
Grade: Kenya-AIST 8 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/9/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The ICT Officer I will provide technical support services
for the institution’s ICT infrastructure. This includes user support,
troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining servers and internet
connectivity, and supporting e-learning and administrative platforms. The
position calls for a hands-on and solutions-oriented professional.
10. Records Management Officer II
Grade: Kenya-AIST 9 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/10/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Records Management Officer II will ensure that
institutional records are accurately maintained, classified, stored, and
retrieved. Key responsibilities include managing registries, implementing
record-keeping procedures, digitizing files, and ensuring compliance with
records management policies. The role requires a meticulous individual with a
good understanding of information governance.
11. Senior Security Officer II
Grade: Kenya-AIST 7 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/11/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Senior Security Officer II will manage the institution’s
physical security operations. Responsibilities include supervising security
personnel, ensuring the safety of staff, students, and visitors, developing
emergency response protocols, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies.
The officer will also handle incident investigations and security audits.
12. Security Officer
Grade: Kenya-AIST 11 | Ref. No.: Kenya-AIST/HR/12/2025 | No. of Posts: 1The Security Officer will provide frontline security
services across Kenya-AIST facilities. Duties include patrolling assigned
areas, monitoring surveillance systems, screening visitors, responding to
emergencies, and reporting security incidents. This role is crucial in
maintaining a safe and secure environment within the institution.
