Driver NK.9 – (3) Post
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive
Company’s vehicle.
- Maintenance
of work tickets for the vehicle assigned.
- Maintenance
of security of the vehicle on and off the road and safety of the
passengers including baggage therein.
- Maintenance
of cleanliness of the vehicle and submitting reports as required.
- Carry
out routine checks on the vehicles’ cooling and oil systems, electrical
systems, tyre pressure and brakes.
- Detection
and repair minor malfunctioning.
Requirements
- Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D (Plain) from the Kenya
National Examinations Council or equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.
- A
current Driving Licence free from current endorsements and valid for any
of the classes of vehicles which the candidate is required to drive.
- First
Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John
Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT)
or any other recognized institution.
- Occupational
Trade Test III/II/I for drivers.
- Defensive
Driving Certificate from Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Refresher
Course for Drivers after every three (3) years lasting not less than one
(1) week at the Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT)
or any other recognized institution.
- Proficiency
in Computer application skills.
- Certificate
of Good Conduct from the National Police Service.
Basic Salary: Kshs. 36,530 (Minimum) – Kshs. 53,076
(maximum)
Other remunerations: Based on prevailing Government
guidelines
