Dear Sir/Madam,

RE: APPLICATION FOR A TEACHING POSITION

The range of training and educational skills I have developed from my teaching experience and academic backgrounds give support to my genuine interest in a teaching career and make me an ideal candidate for the role of a lecturer in Food Science for Diploma level.

As you will see from my CV, my extensive experience as a teacher has provided a unique opportunity for me to gain practical experience with the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work, and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance. More so, I'm able to take feedback from students to develop and monitor teaching in his/her specialist subject area.

In addition, I have actively participated in teaching curriculum and extensively taught Biology and Chemistry at Secondary School at all levels; Form 1-4. Last year, I was able to increase the KCSE mean score for Biology and Chemistry from B- to A- at Kanunga Boys’ Secondary School. I am also actively involved in other extracurricular activities such as Science Congress, Redcross and Drama, and Music Festivals.

Thank you for taking your time to review my CV and I look forward to meeting you for an interview to discuss how my education, practical skills, and background would qualify me to be part of your teaching fraternity.

Yours Faithfully,

Signed,

Job Seeker.
