Here is the published KMTC fee structure for the year 2024 for regular, in-service students, and self-sponsored students.

Payment Options

Fees

There are two fee categories namely:

  1. Regular
  2. Foreign (as detailed in the current fees structure)

Fees structure is subject to changes from time to time

Students are advised to pay fees on annual basis to avoid interruption of training

Upon dismissal, fees are not refundable.

NB: Students are advised to make financial arrangements to cover expenses related to Practical attachment; Research etc. details are available from respective faculties upon reporting.

Stationery

All stationery is the responsibility of the student.

Students are encouraged to buy their own textbooks, and specific course book lists are usually provided as an admission package to assist in purchasing books.

Medical Equipment

All special medical equipment in each course i.e. Stethoscopes etc are the responsibility of the student.

Regular refers to students who attend sessions from Monday-Friday at various KMTC campuses in Kenya.

KMTC fees structure [in-service KMTC courses]


In-service programs are targeted at professionals and other medical staff and are offered as part of continuing medical education/training for pharmacists, physicians, and related medical workers.

The following is the KMTC fee structure 2020 for various KMTC diploma courses delivered under the in-service category.

Other details


Note that you’re supposed to pay for meals and accommodation (if staying in KMTC hostels) separately. The rates are available upon admission.

Students are also advised to provide an extra amount to cater for incidental expenses such as practical attachment and research as required in the course of study.

For students living outside their KMTC campuses, the applicable rent fee and other charges will depend on the property they are renting as specified in the contract they enter with the landlords/agents of such hostel facilities.

Remember that the KMTC application fee is still Shs.2024 (new applicants) and is paid via KMTC pay bill number 964150 when filling the KMTC application form on the KMTC portal.

Can I pay KMTC fees in installments?


Yes, you can but you’re required to pay at least Shs.63200 when registering and clear the balance before the commencement of your second semester (self-sponsored and in-service programmes).

Regular students paying by installments are required to deposit Shs.43200 on/or before the registration date and settle the remainder of Shs.37500 before the start of the second semester.

How to pay fees


The above KMTC fee should be deposited directly into the appointed bank accounts (you can pay into your nearest branch) and the slip presented to the cashier/accounts officer at your respective campus.

You can apply for an Afya Elimu HELB loan and use the advanced credit to ease your KMTC fees financial burden.

Other requirements when joining KMTC


It’s important to be vaccinated against Typhoid and Hepatitis B before reporting to your allocated KMTC campus. A certificate of vaccination will be demanded during the registration.

Students must have NHIF cover and will be required to supply a copy of their NHIF card on the reporting date.
