An electronic resource is any information source that the library provides access to in an electronic format. The library purchases subscriptions to many electronic information resources in order to provide you with access to them free of charge. Kenyatta University has invested in these resources and today let us learn more insight on how to access these resources and make use of them.
First, these resources are accessed both off-campus and within the university. When one is within the University the resources are directly accessed through the link below: maktaba.ku.ac.ke.
After following the link, on your left side of the interface, there is a link on e-resources. Click on it then you will be directed to these resources. The resources range from e-journals to online books and finally open access e-resources. Select the database which covers your subject strength and then navigate through it using basic search or advanced search. In my next article, I will explain into details the common search types and its importance. If one is outside Kenyatta University, no need to worry. We got you covered, you only need Kenyatta University corporate email and then visit our information desk or send us your email through our various social media platforms and your subject should be activation to off-campus access. After your email has been activated you will be provided with USERNAME AND PASSWORD. you will use it to log in using the link below:

After logging in, the same interface as that one of e-resources access will display and you will then be able to search for the resources you require. the link to e-resources is: http://library.ku.ac.ke/e-resources/
