How to collect your Degree Certificate from The University of Nairobi


To collect your degree certificate from the University of Nairobi, you will need the following documents:

  • >A copy and your original national ID card
  • >A copy and the original University’s Clearance Certificate
  • >A copy and the original Graduands Clearance Form (should be signed to show that you returned all graduation items)

Present these documents at the University’s Examination Center in Chiromo campus to receive your certificate.

NOTE: If you are collecting your certificate after the deadline for certificate collection, you will be charged a storage fee of Ksh. 1,000 for every year since your due date of collection. To pay this amount, collect a pay in slip from the Cash office Gandhi Wing (ground flr) at the university’s Main Campus, pay the money at any Barclays bank branch using the account details indicated on the Payslip, and return the bank deposit slip to the same cash office on Gandhi Wing for receipting.

You will then attach a copy of the receipt to the documents above to be presented at the Examination Center in Chiromo.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The names on the Degree certificate will appear as they are in the National ID/Passport in the order of First name, Middle name, and Surname. While collecting certificates, graduates must ensure that their names are correctly spelt.

Certificates must be safely kept Duplicates are never issued.

CERTIFICATION

  • Each graduate is entitled to one set (transcript and certificate) of certified copies on the day of collection.
