Guidelines and Admissions Procedure for Online Applications

Intakes: January, May, and September.

Self-sponsored /Private Students

For admission to the Catholic University of Eastern Africa as a Self-sponsored/Private Students student, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make a decision on the programme that you would like to undertake and confirm that you meet the entry qualifications
  2. Create an account to enable you to make your application
  3. A confirmation email will be sent to your email to confirm that your account has been successfully created
  4. Log in and fill in a new application form
  5. Enter the required information correctly and truthfully
  6. Attach the required scanned documents
  7. Once complete, submit your application.
  8. Once your application is successfully submitted, you will receive an email a notification indicating the same
  9. Pay the indicated application fee
  10. To track your application status, log-in with the User name and Password used for the creation of your account.

 Government-sponsored /KUCCPS Students

For admission to the Catholic University of Eastern Africa as a Government-sponsored /KUCCPS student, please follow the steps below:

  1. Confirm that you have received an invitation to our university from KUCCPS
  2. Click on “Log in” button
  3. Enter your K.C.S.E Index Number and Examination year as shown.
  4. Apply by populating the table given with your information as required.
  5. Enter the required information correctly and truthfully
  6. Attach the required scanned documents
  7. Once complete, submit your application.
  8. To track your application status, enter your K.C.S.E Index Number and Examination year

Please attach scans of these original documents as required:

  • A clear recent passport sized photo – All applicants
  • Scanned National ID – For Kenyan applicants who are above 18 years of age
  • Scanned Birth Certificate – For Kenyan applicants who are below 18 years of age
  • Scanned Valid Passport – For Non-Kenyan applicants
  • Scanned academic certificates including secondary school certificates, Bachelors, Diplomas & Certificate level, transcripts and certificates depending on programme applied for
  • Scanned Certificate of good conduct – For Non-Kenyan applicants
  • Scanned official translation of academic records – Where language of study for entry qualification is not English – For Non-Kenyan applicants
  • Applicants with foreign academic qualifications are advised to create an account, apply for Certificate of Alignment from the Kenya National Qualifications Framework(KNQF) through this link: https://qa.knqa.go.ke/ and attach the same to the application.

Other important Information

  1. Submission of invalid Certificates will lead to automatic disqualification of an application
  2. All applications are received and confirmed by the Student Recruitment Office. Any questions regarding application process can be directed to  Student Recruitment Office via admissions@cuea.edu or by phone + 254 709 690 111
  3. From Student Recruitment Office, all applications go to the Faculty Admissions Board for evaluation and approval and then ratified by the University Admissions Board.
  4. Successful applicants will receive an email notification with auto-generated admission letters and links to activate their students’ portal where they shall update their data.
  5. Unsuccessful applicants will receive an email notification with auto-generated regret letters.
  6. Incomplete applications will not be accepted

Information of requirements for a Students Pass

Upon admission, all international students need a Student’s Pass to study in Kenya. This document is granted by the Ministry of Immigration of Kenya in Nairobi. Therefore, upon arrival at the University for the commencement of your course, you are required to get in touch with the office of the Dean of Students for assistance on how to acquire a student’s pass.
